The Product

Envision AI empowers blind and low vision people to be independent by speaking out the visual world in front of them. It is a smartphone app that uses artificial intelligence to read all kinds of text from any surface, recognise faces, describe scenes, find objects, scan barcodes, detect colours and so much more. It is the best all-in-one tool in the pocket of a blind or low vision user for all of their visual recognition tasks.

🌍Over the past year, Envision has organically grown to thousands of paying subscribers around the world. There is a vast B2B opportunity to be explored and executed with it.

🏆 Envision is the winner of Google Play Award 2019 for the Best Accessibility Experience and was nominated for AppleVis Hall of Fame 2019.

🕶 Envision is now bringing its software to smartglasses. This provides visually impaired users with an even more unobtrusive and hands-free way to get things done. An equally big B2B opportunity exists for the smart glasses.

The role

The need for the role

Envision is receiving continuous requests from local and international businesses, health organisations and educational entities ranging from demo accounts to bulk subscriptions to white-label partnerships.

For a B2B approach to be successful it is crucial to properly assess and validate the potential of these opportunities and define a strategy that is both scalable and at the same time does not take away focus from the existing product development and business model.

The role description

Assess the key countries where Envision is active with the app on a B2C level to understand the B2B potential for the app and for the glasses. These countries are: The USA, Germany, India and Japan.

Prioritise the countries based on the B2B market size potential, ease and cost of access and penetration (operational, financial, cultural etc) and other relevant parameters.

Develop a plan to engage the countries one by one on a B2B level and describe the requirements to achieve success.

Execute on the plan together and achieve B2B sales, ideally within [3] months from starting the job. Ability to attract sales people to achieve:

  • Bulk sales of Envision app and later the glasses to organisations, institutions and schools. No change/modification to the product.
  • Bulk sales of Envision app and later the glasses to corporates and enterprises. Minor change/modification to the product.
  • Partnerships with suppliers, distributors, insurance companies and labour authorities for retail sales and distribution of Envision glasses.

The Candidate we are looking for:

  • 3-5 years of relevant international business development experience
  • Adaptable and stress resistance (it’s hard to enter new markets, adaptability helps)
  • Medium- to long-term focus
  • Structured: good at planning and prioritising
  • Technical know-how and experience in software sales
  • Ability to take initiative, craft and lead the whole sales cycle
  • Experience in the assistive technology industry is a plus
  • Slight preference for candidates based around the Netherlands
