How to add Alt Text on Instagram?

Alt Text is a description of your visual content so that people with a visual impairment can know what you’re posting as well. Often people with a visual impairment will use a screen reader function to hear the Alt Text spoken out to them. Here we will explain how you can add Alt Text to your Instagram posts so you can contribute to making the digital world a bit more accessible.
1. Open Instagram and click the “+” in the top right corner and select “Post”
2. Select the picture you would like to post and click “Next”
3. Under "Create new post", scroll down to “Accessibility”
4. Click “Write alt text”
